Organisations survive despite themselves

Organisations survive and make money despite themselves.

This is true for organisations all over the world, and the reason is people. We are capable of incredible acts of negative behaviour, sometimes real life is even worse than a movie.

However, we are also capable of incredible acts of beauty and passion that make the world a better place for those around us.

So while we are talking about the impact of digital on our companies, and how it impacts us now and in the future, it is important to remember that at the end of the day, we are still dealing with human beings with an amazing range of feelings and motivations that lead to actions we will never truly be able to predict or even understand.

In organisations you find a very concentrated ecosystem of people with feelings, motivations, fear; each driven by something. All these different internal forces, combined with external forces like competition, economic conditions, etc. puts immense pressure on people in organisations, which may lead to us doing stupid things out of desperation,

Now throw in the impact the generational influences have on organisations and things becomes really interesting.

If we struggle so much to manage and lead the people in a controlled environment like an organisation, why do we think we will ever truly understand our prospects and clients.

Well, for one, while we work in organisations, we are also consumers, clients, customers, prospects, users of product – so maybe start there.

A Question as an example: Who has bought a mailing list or cellphone list with the aim of marketing to this list?

And yet you hate being spammed yourself?
